\nOr do we allay (=calm) it?<\/p>\n

Fear<\/span> has never created a single job
\nor fed a single family.<\/p>\n

And those who exploit
\nit will never solve the problems that have
\ncreated such anxiety.<\/p>\n

We believe we should confront anxiety
\nwith a clear plan to deal with its root causes<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Because what is the alternative<\/span><\/strong>?
\nTo exploit anxiety?<\/p>\n

To turn it into fear and blame?<\/p>\n

To reject others because they look or speak
\nor pray differently than we do?<\/p>\n

You see, in Canada we got a very important
\nthing right.<\/p>\n

Not perfect, but right.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

In Canada, we see diversity as a source of strength,<\/span><\/strong>
\n not weakness.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Our country is strong not in spire of our differences
\nbut because of them.<\/p>\n

Every single day we need to choose<\/span><\/strong>
\n hope over fear,<\/span><\/strong>
\n diversity over division.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The nearly 7.5 million people
\nwe collectively serve are better than the
\ncynics and pessimists think they are.<\/p>\n

People want their problems solved, not exploited.<\/p>\n
